Find Rest. Choose Rest.
Sunday, April 18th, 2010
We live in what is a very fast moving society, where constant activity is the order of the day; Where change takes place at an alarming rate and where time is said to be money. We live in the country ..
We live in a old market town . . . but we are not sheltered from pressure … our lives are constantly under threat from stress.
We cannot avoid stress and strain. It’s the result of what happens in our own world. - hat we need is to find ‘a place of real rest’ - for there’s a difference between leisure and real rest.
This is where David’s testimony is so instructive.
“My soul finds rest in God alone;
my salvation comes from him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation;
he is ray fortress,
I shall never be shaken.”
